Welcome to 1%, a passionate and dedicated group of aviation enthusiasts comprising pilots, aviation engineers, and technology experts.
Our mission is to empower and support young individuals in achieving their dreams and ambitions in the world of aviation.
At 1%, we believe that every young person with a passion for aviation deserves the opportunity to soar to new heights. We bring together a diverse community of professionals who are eager to share their knowledge, experience, and guidance with the next generation.
ONE PERCENT TEAM
1% Technology Ltd was founded by a group of professional pilots, educators and psychologists in Hong Kong. Our vast experience in general and commercial aviation gives us a unique perspective into the world of aviation, especially in Hong Kong. We initially began with private tuition in our state-of the-art flight simulator, but later expanded to other facets including leadership and skill workshops. Some of you reading this may be curious why our company is called ‘one percent’, and to which the answer can be concisely explained in the following sentence: “99% of people think the path to success is very narrow, but the 1% who are successful think otherwise because so few people tread that path."

OUR BELIEF
It has long been our belief that eventually most of the occupations we know of now will be replaced by Artificial Intelligence. A prominent question lingered in my mind throughout my experience training as a commercial pilot in Australia was, “In the coming 10 years, will this world still need pilots or other professional jobs as much as today?” I soon found a trail to the answer after working in the start-up industry as a business development manager. It was a job that required constant interaction and negotiation with over thousands of customers everyday made even harder after the disastrous impact of COVID-19 on the aviation industry. It became clear to me that even though AI will be replacing a lot of occupations in the world, technology has no chance to replace authentic human interaction.
